In "Rekindle Your Dreams", Trish's JOY is contagious! This is the book to "jump start" anyone's life when we realize what fuels that joy, is none other than our Creator. There is no better master plan than to go to the source, Trish shows, by weaving encouraging Biblical promises throughout her suggestions.
She not only shares her successes and failures to rekindling her own dream, but makes it clear that mind, body and spirit need to be taken care of no matter what your dream.

As I approach my 49th birthday, I really need a boost to rekindle everything!

I recently read "Rekindle Your Dreams," by Trish Porter. I really liked this book! I highly recommend this book to women and men alike as Ms. Porter's steps to pursuing a dream are basic steps we all can use in our daily lives, as well as working toward our dream.
"Rekindle Your Dreams" is a handbook on managing our time more efficiently, becoming healthier and steps to reaching our dream. The big difference between Ms. Porter's book and the other books such as this is that Ms. Porter emphasizes God's role in our dreams and daily lives. Along with her steps for time management, and health, Ms. Porter also has a chapter on improving our relationship with God. As Ms. Porter puts it, "...God has placed a dream in all of our hearts." She emphasizes that God is with us through all our trials and jubilations and will also be with us as we pursue our dream. Ms. Porter reminds us of God's presence by quoting scripture throughout the book.
As Ms. Porter lists steps leading to the pursuit of our dream, she shares stories of her own life as an athlete, a mom and her relationship with God. She also shares stories of other women, some also moms, some athletes, many not, who took the steps to pursue their dreams; some successful, some not. These stories made the steps to pursuing a dream as well as managing time better and improving health more realistic than other books I've read.
Ms. Porter also stresses that once an action plan is written and begun, we must re-read and re-evaluated because life is ever changing and we have to make adjustments in our plan. In the last chapter, she reminds us to give thanks. As we are able to pursue our dream, God is always with us. She quotes Colossians 3:23, NIV:
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for man."
