Con Ted Dekker tengo una relación de amor/odio. Normalmente me encantan sus conceptos, me gusta el hecho de que le apasiona contar historias de una forma diferente, y que tiene la capacidad de contar alegorías con excelentes historias.
Pero al mismo tiempo, creo que le falta mejorar sus personajes y diálogo.
Esa impresión me llevé de "Piel". Sentí que leía un guión cinematográfico en lugar de una novela. ¿Dónde está la profundidad de los personajes? Algunos de ellos, si no es que la mayoría, son aburridos.
En cuanto a la prosa, en ocasiones se repetía la misma frase. ¿Qué le pasó al editor?
Lo peor fue el final. No quiero arruinarle el final a nadie, pero me recordó a una vez que prendí la TV y vi el final de la horrible película Freddy Krugar (o como se llame), en donde, cuando todos lo creíamos muerto, al final saca su mano del pecho de un pobre niño, y la película termina con una tétrica (y cursi) risa malévola, como diciéndonos: "¡Esto no ha acabado! ¡Habrá otra película!" ¡Nooooo!
Pero bueno. Buen intento por Dekker. Me han gustado otros de sus libros, como "Blink of an Eye", e inclusive "Showdown", aunque ninguno me dejó muy impresionado.
