About the Author
SONYA HASKINS has five children, all of whom she teaches at home. The author of several books, she contributes to magazines including Homeschooling Today, Guideposts for Teens, and Decision magazine. She is a founding member of TEACH, a homeschool support group, and serves as its membership coordinator and webmaster. Sonya and her husband have been foster parents for several years, hosting more than 60 children in their home. She and her family live in Jonesborough, Tennessee.

| I bought this book as a resource for my middle school son and, as stated by the other reviewers, it is loaded with good information that it helpful to students and parents. However... it has NO INDEX. It's comparable to a world almanac with a 1 page table of contents and no index. Yes - it does have an accompanying CD for easy printing but, again, the access points are so limited that the usefulness of this resource is also quite limited. My kids, age 7, age 13, and age 16, all love it. I find it very interesting and fun to read! I too recommend it for both homeschoolers and non-homeschoolers. | I first found this book through our local library system. After checking it out from the library, I looked through it and decided that this book was worthy of purchase! One of my favorite things about the book is the companion CD which includes every list from the book - ready to print out! I expect that we'll print out certain pages & use the printout to easily research various topics on the internet or at the library. This is a great resource. I would put forth that it is too bad it is titled for Homeschoolers because it would be a great resource for any school or student.
The lists are just amazing. IT is fun to just sit and read through this book. It is also educational to just sit and thumb through this book. IT is a great place to start for reports, history lessons and more.
