| An impassioned expose of the critical shortage of nurses and the apathy of the profession festering beneath mountains of documentation that makes care of the patient secondary. The author cites the problems experienced by herself and her fellow nurses offering possible solutions. Many of the issues discussed are relevant to the teaching profession as well, where a similar apathy exists amid the constraints of documentation and paperwork leaving less time to tend to the actual business of a child's learning. It makes one wonder if all those who dedicated their lives to serving others find that the "system" keeps them from fulfilling their calling.
